MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – February 2017 – W Minneapolis – The Foshay and Le Méridien Chambers Minneapolis, two iconic sister properties in Minneapolis’ historic downtown arts district, are pleased to welcome Matthew Galaviz-Reed as Complex Marketing Manager. In his new position, Galaviz-Reed will oversee marketing strategy for the award-winning Twin City hotels.

Georgia born Galaviz-Reed got his first taste of hospitality as a front desk agent at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest in 2012, where he discovered his passion for the industry and quickly climbed the corporate ladder. In less than five years, he skyrocketed through management positions including food and beverage operations lead, rooms controller, marketing and events coordinator, and finally, sales manager.

Galaviz-Reed’s rapid advancement earned him the 2016 Rising Star Award, an accolade awarded by the Minnesota Lodging Association, which recognizes an exceptional newcomer to the hospitality industry who demonstrates outstanding growth potential.
