July 02–The Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is in new hands.
HHM, a Philadelphia hotel company with four other properties in Miami-Dade, announced this week that it had completed the acquisition of the 405-room hotel.
A spokesman for the company would not disclose the purchase price. Miami-Dade County property records show the Sheraton was last owned by an affiliate of Thayer Lodging Group.
The property at 3900 NW 21st St. includes 17,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center and restaurant and bar outlets. Public spaces and guest rooms will be renovated.
HHM, formerly known as Hersha Hospitality Management, has a portfolio in Miami-Dade that also includes the Courtyard Cadillac Miami Beach, Residence Inn Coconut Grove and Blue Moon and Winter Haven hotels in South Beach, both part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
