With expertise in Radio Frequency, Wireless Networks and Distributed Antenna Systems, Rausch will direct ongoing business development and oversee the RoamBOOST regional sales team

Boston, Mass. — August 30, 2016 — With hotels coast to coast looking for cellular signal enhancement, RoamBOOST has selected Rick Rausch to direct the company’s business development effort as Vice President of Sales – USA. Based in West Palm Beach, Fla., Rausch will oversee the RoamBOOST regional sales team as they continue to drive the company’s fast-track to growth. RoamBOOST is a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that distributes cell signals throughout a property or in targeted areas, such as the lobby, guestrooms, conference space, and back of house offices. Guests and staff will immediately see improvement in their phone’s signal strength, and hotels will see an improvement in satisfaction scores and social media reviews.

"Hoteliers are acutely aware of problems associated with inadequate cell signal coverage and they are seeking a solution that can be implemented quickly with little disruption to operations,” said RoamBOOST VP of Operations Pam Angelucci. “Even developers, architects, builders and designers are getting in the game by spec’ing a strong cellular network from the ground up so that owners can be competitive from the moment they open their doors. It’s no longer enough to have a strong Wi-Fi network; to keep mobile-dependent travelers coming back, network infrastructures must balance Wi-Fi with cellular (3G voice and 4G/LTE Data). While DAS solutions are growing in popularity as an effective solution for ensuring strong cell signals, knowing which DAS is right for a specific property can be difficult. As a DAS integrator and wireless expert who has worked with the various cellular networks and the RoamBOOST team over the years, we brought Rick on board to ensure that RoamBOOST is being introduced to the widest market in the simplest of terms to meet exacting property challenges. We are absolutely thrilled to have him aboard.”

A well-known sales and engineering expert in the wireless industry, Rausch comes to RoamBOOST with 19 years of experience in the telecommunications and in-building/DAS sector. His proven strengths are in RF in-building project sales, design, proposals, DAS equipment sales and project management. Rausch is proven to be successful in leading teams to sell, design, install, and commission DAS networks for wireless service providers and enterprise customers. Prior to joining RoamBOOST, Rausch served as VP of Sales for Westell Technologies. He also served as Sales Engineer Manager and DAS Engineering Manager for Advanced RF Technologies, Project Engineer at Longent, RF Engineering Manager for T-Mobile and SunCom Wireless, RF Engineer for TeleCorp PCS, RF Engineer for Sprint PCS, as well as other engineer and consultant posts. Rausch received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University and studied Digital Telecommunications in Graduate School.

“This industry has kept me moving and working from California to the Carolinas, whether I was working for one of the wireless carriers or serving as a DAS integrator,” Rausch said. “It was in the field that I crossed paths with RoamBOOST Field Project Manager Frank Leon. He and I teamed up to establish the Florida market for Longent in 2010. Then, when I entered the DAS OEM space, I had the good fortune to meet RoamBOOST Field Services Director Dean Vinson, and we also forged a solid partnership. Migrating to RoamBOOST was simply meant to be.

“Today, not only am I delighted to join this great team of smart, ambitious people, but I’m ecstatic to become part of such a fast-growing DAS company,” he said. “This is an exciting time to be in the enterprise DAS space, especially with in-building wireless protocols changing so rapidly. RoamBOOST is the top DAS player in the hospitality industry. I look forward to this new role and meeting with the countless number of owners and operators looking to solve their in-building cellular issues.”
