New owner plans additional hotel rooms, a second hot mineral springs grotto and swimming pool beginning in 2016.

Greater Palm Springs, CA – December 1, 2015 – Kevin Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Two Bunch Palms announced the recent purchase of the 75 year-old resort to a Southern California-based company, CCL Holdings that has hospitality and real estate properties in California and Hawaii.

"We're very excited to share the vision that has been started by the previous owners and move forward with the next phase of expansion." said Tim Chun, Vice President of CCL. In the last two years, the iconic resort has undergone a renaissance of sorts with a rebranding emphasizing its award winning healing waters considered the top 10 hot springs in the world. A multi-million dollar renovation included refurbishment of existing rooms, addition of new rooms and suites, a new farm to table restaurant and improvements to the infrastructure and public areas. In summer of this year, the property became the first carbon neutral resort in North America with the addition of a 550 KW 3.5 acre solar farm.

"We look forward to enhancing the guest experience with plans of building a world class spa/wellness center, additional hotel rooms, a second hot mineral springs grotto and swimming pool beginning in 2016." says Kelly. He added "Two Bunch Palms is leading the industry as the first sustainable wellness resort of its kind in the country and we are thrilled that CCL is committed to promoting sustainable wellbeing."

The new management company JRNL Two Bunch Palms (an affiliate of CCL) with Kevin Kelly as its Chief Executive Officer will be retaining the leadership team led by John Trudeau, Managing Director and Rianna Riego, Executive Director of Brand & Communication. The former owners of the storied resort, chaired by Independent Film Producer, Donald Kushner, will retain the undeveloped land surrounding the Two Bunch Palms.
