Orlando, FL – February 6, 2012 – Intelity announced that it is a sponsor of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament. On the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) tour, Pebble Beach has been a “Charitable Classic” since 1937. The event takes place February 6 -12, 2012. “It’s a great tournament and a worthy fund-raiser for charity,” said David Adelson, president and CEO of Intelity. “As one of the three hospitality industry sponsors, we’re proud to be a part of this classic American event in one of the world’s most spectacular resort areas.” Intelity is hosting thirty hoteliers to view the final four days of play on three courses: the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. The professionals will all play a round on each course beginning Thursday, February 9th and lasting through Saturday, February 11th. Those making the cut will play on Sunday's final round at Pebble Beach. For the first three days, each professional will also be paired up with an amateur, with the top 25 teams playing on Sunday. Some of the famous names playing this year will be last year’s champion, D.A. Points, and Pro-Am winner, Bill Murray. This year, Tiger Woods will be paired with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Also playing in the Pro-Am will be NFL head coaches Bill Belichick (New England Patriots) and Jim Harbaugh (San Francisco 49ers). In addition to the $6.3 million purse, other proceeds go to the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, chaired by Clint Eastwood.
