Intelity ICE Touch on iPad Earns In-Room Technology Innovation
of the Year Award for Eccleston Square Hotel

category by European Hospitality Awards


Orlando, FL – November 10, 2011 – The ballots are in, and with the help of Intelity ICE (Interactive Customer Experience ™) Touch on iPad, The Eccleston Square Hotel in London was presented In-Room Technology Innovation of the Year by the European Hospitality Awards . Eccleston Square, the first European hotel to offer ICE on the iPad 2 as a standard room feature, installed the revolutionary program in July 2011.

Eccleston Square Hotel was awarded the honor in a category recognizing a hotel that implemented technology to make the property more appealing to guests, elevate the brand and define the modernization and efficiency of the hotel’s operations. Each nominee was judged by a panel that comprised of a number of key individuals drawn from areas of the international hospitality community.

After an extensive renovation that was completed this summer, Eccleston Square Hotel transformed its interior with high tech features and beautiful modern design.  The deployment of Intelity’s technology grants guests access to hotel services and local information instantaneously.  Powered by ICE Touch software, each in-room iPad 2 allows guests to select from a wide range of services including room controls (open/close curtains, adjust temperature and light control), in-room dining, restaurant reservations, spa appointments, personal training sessions, housekeeping requests, and much more.  The guest experience continues to be enhanced beyond the hotel walls with Intelity’s ICE Mobile app which allows guests to access many of the features of their in-room system from their own mobile devices.

Aside from providing this luxury service, ICE technology helps to increase hotel efficiency and customer satisfaction with its revolutionary back-end management tool. ICE does this by fully integrating with the hotel’s property management systems, allowing management to track and chart guest requests and response times.
