Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints Miguel Diaz as
Director of Sales and Marketing for 159-suite Marenas Resort
in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Miguel Diaz director of sales and marketing for Marenas Resort, located in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, north of Miami.  Marenas Resort is part of Benchmark Hospitality’s new collection of Personal Luxury Resorts & HotelsSM properties.  Jim Franklin, Benchmark’s general manager at the resort, made the announcement.

“Miguel brings significant Florida luxury market experience to his new role at our resort,” said Mr. Franklin.  “He also comes equipped with vast leadership experience and the unique ability to develop a strong sales team, which will greatly enhance our efforts to grow the resort’s business and our luxury brand.  We welcome him to Marenas Resort!”

Miguel Diaz was most recently the director of sales for the Orlando World Center Marriott.  He has served for much of his career in director-level positions for leading luxury hotel brands at properties in Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Atlanta and Chantilly, Virginia.

Mr. Diaz has achieved numerous sales performance awards during his hospitality career, including multiple President's Circle Awards and Sales Team of the Year awards.  Diaz has relocated to the Miami area.
