Benchmark Hospitality Names Max Kiebach as Director of Food and Beverage
for the 147-room Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference
Center in Blacksburg, Virginia


The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, June 2011 Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Max Kiebach director of food and beverage for The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, located in Blacksburg, Virginia.  Tom Shaver, Benchmark’s general manager at The Inn at Virginia Tech, made the announcement.

“We are thrilled to welcome Max to our property,” said Mr. Shaver.  “A highly skilled manager with extensive food & beverage experience at every level, including international positions, he is a great addition to our executive team.”

Max Kiebach comes to his new position with over 20 years of hospitality industry experience, with several years invested in the food & beverage departments at signature properties.  He was most recently director of food & beverage for Bimini Bay Resort & Marina, located in Bimini, Bahamas.  Prior to this he served as director of events for Shaping America’s Plate of Orlando.  Mr. Kiebach has also held food & beverage operational and catering sales positions for properties throughout Florida and in New York City, including freestanding restaurants.

A native of Berlin, Germany, Mr. Kiebach is a graduate of Brillat-Savarin School for Hotel Administration, located in Berlin.  He attended advanced hospitality industry studies within the United States at Cornell University.  Kiebach is a certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers.  He is the recipient of numerous industry awards, including the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Four Star and Four Diamond Awards, and the M&C Gold Platter Elite Award.  He is fluent in German, French and English.  Mr. Kiebach is relocating to the Blacksburg area.
