Benchmark Hospitality International Names Brian Dunne Director
of Sales & Marketing for Hotel 718, Brooklyn, New York



Brooklyn, New York, July 2011 … Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based independent hospitality management company, has named Brian Dunne director of sales & marketing for Hotel 718, the new property being constructed at 231 Duffield Street in Brooklyn.  Hotel 718, which is scheduled to open in November, is owned by Brooklyn-based V3 Hotels and will be operated by Benchmark Hospitality as part of the company’s new Personal Luxury Resorts & HotelsSM.  Mike Taylor, Benchmark’s general manager for Hotel 718, made the announcement.
 
“It is a pleasure to welcome Brian to Hotel 718 and to Benchmark Hospitality International,” said Mr. Taylor.  “He brings to his new role extensive experience and sales contacts within the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Northeastern US markets.  We look forward to his leadership in the sales and marketing programming for this remarkable new hotel.”
 
A twenty-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Brian Dunne returns to New York City with his appointment at Hotel 718.  For the past three years, he served as vice president of sales & marketing for Magna Hospitality Group, responsible for the development of sales, marketing and revenue management strategies for branded and independent hotels in New York City, New England, the Mid Atlantic and Midwestern United States.
 
Mr. Dunne has previously held the position of director of sales & marketing for major New York City hotels, including properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn.  Earlier in his career he served in sales and marketing positions at landmark properties in Chicago, New England, New York and internationally.
 
Dunne is a graduate of Fairfield University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in politics.  He is a member of MPI, ASAE, NYSAE, PCMA and HSMAI.
