October 24, 2013
On 10/24/13, a representative from the city of Cincinnati (OH) stated that the developers have decided to go with the AC Hotel by Marriott brand for this project. The decision to redevelop the building into a hotel will require a zoning change, and the local community councils have given their approval for the change, however, no plans or permit applications have been submitted to the city to date.
April 4, 2013
As of April 2013, Remark Hospitality Development Company, led by Tom Wein, will be developing the project. Core Redevelopment owns the property. Construction could begin in July 2013.
