A
23-year veteran of the hotel industry, Lisa Arias began her career with
Hyatt
Hotels & Resorts in 1995 as Corporate Sales Manager for Hyatt
Regency Long
Beach. Over the course of the next 17 years, she transitioned to five
different
Hyatt Hotels and was promoted to Associate Director of Sales and then
to
Director of Sales and ultimately to Director of Sales and Marketing,
the title
she currently holds at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. Her tenure with
Hyatt
has afforded her the opportunity to train and mentor team members to
advance
their own career accounting for 12 employees’ promotions to Director of
Sales
and an additional 2 employees to World Wide Sales Directors. Lisa is
dedicated
to providing the best possible service experience to all guests and
takes great
pride in instilling this culture with her team.
Starting as a sauté cook in
Palo Alto, Chef Lassahn has a 28- year career with Hyatt that spans a
variety
of positions, thus providing his keen understanding of hotel food and
beverage,
banquet operations and customer service. His innovations include
the
development of Vines restaurant at the Hyatt Valencia, renowned for its
seasonal menu changes and quarterly wine-pairing dinners. In
addition to
opening the Hyatt Valencia property, Lassahn has opened other high
profile
properties including: Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas; Hyatt Regency
Tamaya Resort
& Spa; and the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa.
Because of
his impeccable track record of success, Lassahn was among those chosen
to
develop and manage Hyatt hotel’s fine dining standards and banquet
servicing
for the company. Lassahn’s commitment to driving
brand preference via the culinary division is evident - constantly
raising the
bar, he and his team work hard to create a WOW experience and touch all
of the
hotel’s guests.The awards for Hyatt’s Director of Sales and Chef of the Year are granted in three different categories based on hotel size. The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza is categorized as a large convention hotel with 726 rooms and over 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
