Cotai Strip in the City of Dreams Development
CHICAGO - October 16, 2009 - Hyatt Hotels & Resorts announced today the opening of Grand Hyatt Macau located on the Cotai Strip in the new City of Dreams development. A sophisticated and serene oasis amid the excitement of Macau, the 791-guestroom hotel houses one of the largest event spaces in Macau. With 15 individual function areas spanning more than 968,000 square feet (90,000 square meters), Grand Hyatt Macau is set to become the leading MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) venue in the region. We feel Grand Hyatt Macau reflects the energy and exciting cultural fusion that makes this former Portuguese colony unique, and a dynamic destination for both individual leisure travelers and MICE groups, says Paul Kwok, general manager of Grand Hyatt Macau. Given the sheer scale, variety and unique nature of its event venues, alongside the world-class entertainment available at the City of Dreams - all of which can be handled through one billing account - Grand Hyatt Macau is a truly integrated destination, and we feel confident that it will be a huge attraction to MICE organizers. Location

For more informal events, the Pool Deck and the adjacent Poolside on Level 3 are ideal alfresco locations. The Pool Deck is the largest outdoor event venue in Macau and features a stylish water lounge, eight private VIP cabanas and expansive landscaped gardens. Restaurants, Tea, Bars and Lounges
mezza9 Macau on Level 3 is a restaurant inspired by the renowned mezza9 at Grand Hyatt Singapore. With a focus on Southeast Asian fare with an international influence, the space is defined by giant roughly-hewn granite blocks creating counters and walls as well as an array of lattice-patterned, rusted metal screens. mezza9 Macau aims to stimulate not only the taste buds, but also the senses of sight, sound, smell and touch. As the name suggests, nine different dining experiences are on offer: Macanese; grill; sushi and sashimi; wok; delicatessen; steam basket; patisserie, bar; and cellar. In the Lobby Lounge, beneath the sweeping Egyptian Ivory stone staircase, there is a wine and champagne bar featuring live music accompanied by traditional Chinese instruments. In the main lobby is a coffee bar and patisserie, which specializes in traditional Portuguese egg tarts. Recreation, Health and Wellness
