Seamless connectivity allows members to enter their data once and feed it across multiple channels, providing maximum exposure to more customers. The GDS chain code will feed information to major travel agency systems including Sabre, Amadeus/Apollo/Gallileo, and Worldspan that connect directly to more than 600,000 travel agencies worldwide. In turn, these systems power consumer travel websites such as Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia, among others. New member hotels that join CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide in 2009 must take the new GDS code, while current members have the option of retaining their current code, or migrating to the new CARINO GDS code.
