CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Announces The Postcard Inn
on the Beach to Adopt New GDS Chain Code

St. Petersburg, Florida Hotel to Take New Code UN as part of Luxury Hotel Groups Effort to
Track Sources of All Reservations, Provide Maximum Exposure for Properties

NEW YORK CITY (October 21, 2009) Postcard Inn on The Beach, a new hotel in St. Pete Beach, Fla. thats scheduled to open in mid-October, has announced it will adopt CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwides new Global Distribution System (GDS) code UN. CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, a sales and customer information company dedicated to assisting luxury hotels, has launched the GDS code so that participating members will now be able to see and track directly the measurable results that the organization delivers.

We are so excited about the wonderful prospects for our members with the new GDS chain code, said Joe Carino, president, CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. We look forward to assisting Postcard Inn on The Beach, as well as the rest of our member properties, as a one-stop shop offering revenue and reservations support.

Not only will the new GDS chain code UN provide the ability for members to track the source of all reservations, it also opens up new opportunities for exposure and promotion of the properties. Seamless connectivity allows members to enter their data once and feed it across multiple channels, providing maximum exposure to more customers.  The GDS chain code will feed information to major travel agency systems including Sabre, Amadeus/Apollo/Gallileo, and Worldspan that connect directly to more than 600,000 travel agencies worldwide. In turn, these systems power consumer travel websites such as Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia, among others.   Thus, the GDS code will also allow CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide members to reach both businesses and consumers concurrently for the very first time ever since the organizations inception.

We are very excited about the opportunities that adopting the CARINO GDS code will afford us, said Donna Rodriguez, director of public relations and marketing for B.R. Guest Restaurants, the hotels management company. Were excited to be opening our casual, vintage and smartly designed hotel, and we are continually looking for new ways to get the word out about the hotel and maximize our exposure. We are confident that by participating in this endeavor we will create new opportunities with consumers as well as other businesses.

CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide will be using SynXis as its central reservation system provider. Through the partnership, consumers can book reservations at member hotels from CARINOs branded website, or from the hotels own websites. New member hotels that join CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide in 2009 must take the new GDS code, while current members have the option of retaining their current code, or migrating to the new CARINO GDS code.

In addition to the new GDS chain code, CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide has launched a new website, www.carinohotels.com, as well as a new 800 number and call center services for member properties. CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide also recently changed its name from CARINO Collection in order to reflect a more global focus.

The Postcard Inn on The Beach is the newest property from Stephen Hanson, president of B.R. Guest Restaurants and creator of the James Hotel, (2004 Americas Sexiest New Resort by Travel + Leisure). Scheduled to open in October, the Postcard Inn on The Beach is a reprieve from fussy hotelsa vintage American getaway, relaxed, beachy and carefree.  The hotels 196 guest rooms feature accommodations that overlook the ocean, the garden or pool with select rooms boasting private poolside patios, bringing the cool ocean breeze right up to the guests doorsteps.  From décor to dining, the Postcard Inn on The Beach stays true to its low-key vibe with eclectic, unique design components in every room as well as a friendly bar and restaurant.
