April 7, 2014 (London) - Dorchester Collection announces the appointment of Laura Fiore as director of sales & marketing for its newest property  Hotel Eden, Rome.

Fiore joins Dorchester Collection from her role as director of sales & marketing for Hotel Castello di Casole in Siena, Italy. With a 20-year career in luxury hospitality, Fiore has worked at a variety of prestigious hotels in Italy and New York. Previous positions have included director of sales & marketing at Hotel Majestic in Rome, Italy; director of sales & marketing at St Regis Grand & The Westin Excelsior in Rome, Italy and international sales manager at Orient-Express Hotels in New York.

Commenting on her appointment, Fiore said: "I am excited to be returning to Hotel Eden where I spent the early part of my career and I am looking forward to leading the team at one of Rome's most celebrated properties."

General manager Luca Virgilio states, "Laura Fiore brings a wealth of experience and I am delighted to welcome her back to Hotel Eden. We wish her every success in her new role and are very pleased she is joining our team".

Overlooking the Seven Hills of Rome in the Eternal City, Hotel Eden is ideally located between the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. It is surrounded by green parks and close to the Vatican, St. Peter's Cathedral and Piazza Navona, while the Colosseum is only ten minutes away by taxi. The main shopping streets of Via Condotti, Via Borgognona and Via Frattina are also conveniently located nearby.

The hotel's restaurant, La Terrazza dell'Eden, the bar and Terrace Garden on the sixth floor have some of Rome's most spectacular views spanning from St. Peter's Dome to the Vittoriano Monument and beyond, and is an observation point for the city.  The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in November 2012 under the helm of executive chef Fabio Ciervo. This Michelin star complements those at Dorchester Collection's other hotels, which include three stars at The Dorchester, three stars at Hotel Plaza Athénée and three stars at Le Meurice.
