News for the Hospitality Executive |
Westlake, Texas — September 21, 2011 — Ariane Systems, the global leader in self-service check-in/out technology for the hospitality industry, has deployed its advanced automated kiosks at the brand-new Deloitte University campus in Westlake, Texas. Deloitte University is the cutting-edge executive training center for the international consultancy Deloitte LLP, including an 800-room private hotel, which opens this month. At 750,000 square feet, Deloitte University will serve as the training base for all of the company’s employees. Deloitte has selected the Ariane Executive Check-in/out kiosk solution, featuring Allegro v5.0 software, to streamline the check-in and check-out processes for the hotel and allowing it to operate more efficiently. Customer service is the number one reason for Deloitte University to offer self-service technology. As a training center, significant numbers of arrivals and departures typically occur within any given day. At check-in, the Ariane solution allows Deloitte employees to search for their hotel reservations either by inputting their employee number, last name or by swiping the credit card used during the booking process. At check-out, guests need only to insert their Salto RFID room keycards to view their folios, pay, and either print their invoices at the kiosks or receive PDF invoices via email. Additionally, the software allows for simple guest-user interface customization, and has been fully branded using Deloitte graphical specifications. Ariane’s proprietary Allegro software, which integrates with Micros Opera v5.0, accommodates multi-folio groups, opaque rates, suppressed rates and no-print rates. It also handles multilevel guest profiles—differentiating between company accounts, travel agent accounts and full accounts—as well as room sharing and direct billing, as needed. With the proliferation of self-service technology at airports and in other consumer venues, such as ATMs and grocery check-out, many consumers have not only grown comfortable with self-service—they prefer it. “Not only do check-in/out kiosks offer increased on-property revenues and lower operating costs, but they also provide consumers with a convenient and friendly guest experience, with the kind of self-service options that they have come to expect,” says Ariane Systems CEO Laurent Cardot. “The busy executive business travelers that will frequent the hotel at Deloitte University value efficiency and appreciate control over the check-in and check-out transaction. Ariane’s sleek kiosk designs and attractive user interface offer an upscale look and feel while delivering an efficient, no-nonsense check-in and check-out experience.” For more information about Ariane Systems and the Allegro solution, please contact Christelle Pigeat at Ariane Systems at +1 (514) 295 5944, or email [email protected].
