Travel Tripper Releases a Must Read Press Release

New York (January 31, 2011) – Travel Tripper announced today that it has released this press release because it felt that traditional media vehicles like the Press Release were feeling left out of the lighthearted banter newer platforms like Twitter benefit from. "Why should all the fun marketing by companies only be conducted on Twitter and, to a lesser degree, Facebook? (LinkedIn is fairly serious, by comparison though it occasionally does benefit from levity)," says Scott Brodows, EVP at Travel Tripper.
"At Travel Tripper we were debating marketing options and considered other ideas like finding and hiring someone with the name John Davis IV. Several of our employees submitted proposals but a press release announcing a press release won - even though it's not totally original," chimed in COO, Gautam Lulla.
"There's a lot going on at Travel Tripper and over the past couple of months we've put out a number of press releases announcing them. However, this week most of what's going on is not fully ready yet and it would be a bit early to publicize it over the wire. So we're primarily announcing just that: please wait for a couple of weeks until the next release of RezTrip 2.0 is ready, when we will have some very exciting things to announce. We expect this to happen in the first half of February. With agile development one can never be fully sure of a date, but things generally move pretty fast," shouted Alex Parsons, product director at Travel Tripper, the guy responsible for the evolution of RezTrip 2.0, who by the way, unlike some of his colleagues has not spent his entire career in the hotel industry figuring out ways to increase the length of stay, ADR and look-to-book ratios for hotels. "I'll give it a few years more - it's a lot of fun, quite easy and there's a lot to be done still, but there is a chance I might move on to something else eventually. Time will tell."
"We chose exclusively for this release due to the simple, straightforward, no-nonsense layout of its daily email briefs. Hoteliers and technology companies in the space can scan the headlines quickly and with a single click are taken to an equally sparsely laid out page which is devoid of distracting flashing tile ads," said Brodows, having the final word amongst his colleagues.
Travel Tripper also timed the release in time for this evening's HSMAI Adrian Awards ceremony, where Travel Tripper will get a Gold Adrian, in the hope that  hoteliers would see the press release and approach them to say hello and find out what's really behind today's press release.
