February 12, 2014 10:45am
Having received his Hotel and Restaurant Management degree at the University of New York, Horeth has successfully led hotels nationally for the duration of his career, working his way up from entry-level associate to numerous leadership positions. Horeth has previously served as general manager with industry leading management companies such as Mariner Management, Carnival Hotels & Resorts, Interstate Hotels& Resorts and most recently with Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. where he served as regional vice president of operations.
"This is a very exciting time to be a part of a company so proactive and determined to continue to drive outstanding hotel performance," says Greg Horeth, chief operating officer of Spire Hospitality.
Spire Hospitality has experienced considerable growth with the recent addition of ten new hotels. In support of this growth, several in-house leaders have been promoted to new roles within the company. Gary Upton has served as both the general manager of Embassy Suites Hotel in Portland, Ore. and regional vice president for Windsor Hospitality. Upton will oversee the Embassy Suites Hotels portfolio as Spire Hospitality's vice president of suite operations. John Price has been promoted to the position of vice president of lifestyle hotels supporting Spire Hospitality's single branded assets and top performing branded hotels. Gail Terrible has been promoted to regional director of sales and marketing after many years of success as director of sales at Spire Hospitality's DoubleTree by Hilton Annapolis.
In an effort to support Spire Hospitality's existing portfolio and assist new COO, Horeth, long time Spire Hospitality General Managers Bob Orr and Dhaval Brahmbhatt will begin to serve as area general managers in addition to continuing to lead their current hotels.
"Our talent platform has always driven Spire Hospitality's success," says Bill DeForrest, CEO & president of Spire Hospitality. Within the past year, our company has grown exponentially and in turn so has our executive team. I can not be more proud of our associates that shape this company."
Owned by AWH Partners, LLC, a privately held real estate investment, development and management firm, Spire Hospitality is a leading provider of management services for hotel owners and investors.
