IH/M&RS Expands "E-Offerings" in 2000
WHITE PLAINS, NY,  October, 2000 Interactive website enhancements and the return of the on-site IH/M&RS eBusiness Center are among e-offerings planned for the forthcoming International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS), November 11-14, 2000, at New York Citys Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

A series of new, interactive features and navigation enhancements are now live on Shows website (www.ihmrs.com).  These features, which enable attendees to pre-plan their Show activities, include sophisticated search capabilities and schedule builder functions.

Attendees can search the Shows website for exhibitors by company name, product category or booth number, as well as access an interactive floorplan with detailed views of the Show floor.  The scheduler components allow visitors to request and pre-schedule meetings at the Show, to block-out specific times for on-site programs and to create and download an interactive to-do list.

In addition to these new attendee-directed features, the website also has enhanced on-line offerings for exhibitors.  Key among these features are on-line access to exhibitor materials and tools, such as the IH/M&RS set-up manual, IH/M&RS Marketing Manual, IH/M&RS Directory listing form, order forms for Show services, equipment rentals and exhibitor badges.

The website will continue to offer visitors on-line hotel reservations and a travel discount link.  The site also contains detailed Show information, a schedule of IH/M&RS events and seminars and an on-line Press Center for trade and consumer media.

We launched ihmrs.com several years ago as an information source.  Today, it serves as an interactive resource for attendees and exhibitors wishing to maximize their Show experience, said Christian Falkenberg, IH/M&RS show manager.
In addition to these pre-Show web enhancements, the highly successful IH/M&RS eBusiness Center returns to the Javits Center this November.  This convenient, on-site resource offers Show participants e-mail access and Internet connectivity, as well as exposure to emerging technology resources.

The eBusiness Center allows IH/M&RS participants to be in contact with their offices while they are at the Show.  Its a service were delighted to offer our customers, said Falkenberg.

The 85th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS) will be held Saturday, November 11, through Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.  The IH/M&RS is sponsored by the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, the Hotel Association of New York City, and the American Hotel & Motel Association and is managed by George Little Management, Inc.
