20 th Annual Gold Key Award Finalists Announced
WHITE PLAINS, NY, July 21, 2000� Eighteen restaurant and lodging designers have been selected from 171 entries as Finalists in the 20th Annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design. 

The 2000 Gold Key Awards, which are presented by the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant ShowÒ (IH/M&RS) and sponsored by Hospitality Design and Lodging magazines, recognize hospitality designers for excellence in six design categories: Restaurants Seating To 110; Restaurants Seating Over 110; Guest Rooms; Suites; Lobby/Reception Area; and Senior Living Facility.

Judges for the 2000 Gold Key Awards were Alexandra Champalimaud of Alexandra Champalimaud & Associates, Inc., Jeffery Beers of Jeffery Beers International, Mary-Jean Eastman of Perkins Eastman Architects, P.C., and Didier Picquot of The Pierre, New York. 

Judges considered design creativity and aesthetic value as well as commercial viability when making their selections.

Grand Prize Winners will be announced and all Finalists will be recognized at the Gold Key Awards Breakfast, Monday, November 13, 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m., at The Waldorf=Astoria. The breakfast will be sponsored once again this year by AvoraÔ FR and will feature Keynote speaker David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group.

Tickets for the Awards Breakfast are $65 each, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH).
