NEW YORK, NY – June 8, 2012 – The St. Regis New York is delighted to announce the appointment of Trine Ackelman as the Director of Sales & Marketing for the New York flagship property. Trine is a seasoned veteran in the luxury hospitality business. She brings a wealth of industry expertise to the hotel having extensive experience in luxury hotels throughout the world, including; Dubai, Switzerland, Hawaii and San Francisco.
As Director of Sales & Marketing at The St. Regis New York, Trine will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategy for the landmark hotel. She is also charged with building on the strength of The St. Regis’ sales and marketing department by forging strategic partnerships which further solidify the hotel’s position as the finest in the world. Trine returns to the hotel, where she was previously the Director of Sales.

In her previous role at The St. Regis New York, Trine served as the Director of Sales where she played an integral role in the Starwood Corporate Strategic Initiatives Team and was responsible for goal setting and presentation of the Strategic Sales Plan. Prior to that, Trine was the Complex Director of Group Sales of the W Hotels of New York where she was responsible for group budget and goal setting throughout the city’s five properties in Manhattan. In 2007, she was nominated for both “Sales Leader of the Year” and “Sales Team of the Year.”
Before her time in New York, Trine was the Director of Sales at the Palace Hotel, Luxury Collection, in San Francisco, California. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hawaii Pacific University, Trine has a BA in Communications and a Diploma from Les Roches Hotel Management School in Switzerland. She speaks German, French, Swedish and Danish.
