Thousands of Hotel Rooms Across US - |
| New Orleans, LA, June
24, 2003 – Today, at the Hospitality Information Technology Exposition
and Conference (HITEC), StayOnline announced that it will soon be marketing
its high-speed, Wi-Fi Internet services together with the AT&T Wireless
brand at participating StayOnline hotel locations.
StayOnline’s network of more than 130 hotels representing over 18,000 hotel rooms is one of the most comprehensive Wi-Fi networks in the hospitality industry with networks in more than 20 national lodging brands. Hotel guests staying at properties using StayOnline’s wireless, high-speed networks, will soon be greeted by a co-branded web page featuring the familiar AT&T Wireless logo. Current AT&T Wireless Wi-Fi subscribers will simply be able to utilize their existing accounts to log on to the service. Single-use access will be available to non-AT&T Wireless subscribers, who will also have the option of signing up for one of the AT&T Wireless Wi-Fi service plans. Information about these plans can be found at www.attws.com/wifi. “This is great news for the hotels who currently have StayOnline’s high-speed wireless access points installed and for many more who are considering it,” said Thierry Roch, Executive Director of Historic Hotels of America. “People know and trust the AT&T Wireless name for delivering high-quality wireless services.” “Business travelers are always looking for ways to stay connected to their critical corporate information while on the road,” said Abhi Ingle, vice president of business data solutions for AT&T Wireless Mobile Multimedia Services. “StayOnline’s experience and existing presence in the hospitality space was a perfect fit for us. AT&T Wireless is committed to offering the broadest selection of wireless data offerings to meet the growing demands of today’s mobile professional.” “We owe it to our hotel customers to provide them with the most up-to-date capabilities and to help ensure that their hotels will be attractive to the greatest number of business travelers,” said Antonio DiMilia, President and CEO of Atlanta-based StayOnline, Inc. “The co-marketing program with AT&T Wireless Services is an ideal one for us and for them.” “We’re thrilled with this announcement, obviously,” said Ron Hardin, Vice President of Technology for the Davidson Hotel Company, which manages several properties that have installed StayOnline’s wireless high-speed Internet Access. “We hope to serve many more AT&T Wireless subscribers at our hotels as a result of this initiative.” About StayOnline, Inc.
