. Leading independent hotel operator to use StayOnline for high speed wireless Internet - |
Atlanta, GA, June 19,
2003 -- StayOnline, carrying the largest footprint of 100% wireless
hotels in North America, is adding another hotel group to its growing client
roster. New Castle Hotels of Shelton, Conn., operating and owning hotels
under the Marriott, Hilton, Westin and Sheraton brands, has signed the
Atlanta-based wireless access provider to install High-Speed Internet Access
(HSIA) beginning with its Hilton Garden Inn in Portland, Maine. Wireless
connectivity was installed at the property last week.
The Hilton Garden Inn brand recently received honors as Best Mid-Priced Hotel in Entrepreneur Magazines 10th Annual Business Travel Awards for providing business travelers the things they needed most to conduct business while on the road. Among those items: high speed Internet access. We strive to stay ahead of our guests requests, said Al Zaccario, IT Director for New Castle Hotels, which operates 24 hotel and resort properties throughout North America. Business travelers want and need to be able to access information quickly, easily and conveniently. From laptop to PDA, we want to enable our guests to use the tools they need when they need them. Earlier this year, the Hilton Corporation announced it would install wireless HSIA in all of its Hilton brand hotels in major metropolitan areas using the 802.11b technology, also known as Wi-Fi. Hilton is working with Intel to ensure its hotels are Intel Centrino compatible. StayOnline has been certified under Intels WVP (Wireless Verified Partner) program. Zaccario said selection of StayOnline to provide wireless connectivity that was compatible as well as flexible were important features. StayOnline was able to provide a financially reasonable system that will grow and change with us, added Zaccario. New Castle Hotels develops and operates very distinctive and upscale properties. They are known for providing top level service and amenities, and we are pleased to be able to assist them in delivering top quality high-speed Internet, said Antonio DiMilia, President of StayOnline. We look forward to a successful, long-term relationship. About StayOnline, Inc.
