Mobile Printing To Spectrum Of Guest Services - |
Atlanta, April 29 StayOnline,
the nations largest 100% wireless high-speed Internet access provider
for the hospitality industry, announced today that it has partnered with
Electronics for Imaging to offer EFIs PrintMe mobile printing service
to its new hotel customers. PrintMe is the leading remote printing
solution for the hospitality industry, serving the growing desire of mobile
professionals to work effectively away from the office.
For a limited time, StayOnline is offering to new hotels contracting for its wireless Internet services a PrintMe guest printing station, including installation and service, at no additional charge-- a $3000 value. PrintMe is the first comprehensive mobile and Internet printing service that allows people to print from any wireless device to any enabled printer or to any fax machine without requiring cables, drivers or complex set up. Mobile professionals can print and fax documents from their personal computers, PDAs, two-way pagers, and even cell phones by simply sending documents to any printer on the PrintMe network or to any fax machine in major countries worldwide. This new relationship will make it easy for hotel guests who access the Internet on their laptops to securely print their emails, documents or faxes in just a few simple steps, said Antonio Dimilia, President of StayOnline. StayOnline strives to create total package solutions for our hospitality customers and their guests. The addition of PrintMe will provide mobile business professionals with a complete solution to viewing and printing their documents away from the office. Guests of hotels with StayOnlines wireless connectivity will be able to use any Internet-enabled device to print to the hotels PrintMe station, including laptops, PDAs and cell phones. The guest doesnt need any software, cables, or drivers and can print documents with complete confidentiality to the PrintMe-enabled printer in the hotel either from the privacy of their guest or meeting room, or in public areas of the hotel. Heres how it works: Via the Web: Guests simply go to a special Web page that PrintMe hosts for the hotel. They can browse and upload any document, enter their information, and print. They are given a receipt number (DocID), which is used to retrieve the document on-demand at the printer. Documents stay secure and confidential. Via e-mail: Files can also be sent via e-mail. Guests can forward e-mails with documents attached to a unique e-mail address that PrintMe assigns to the hotel printer. Similar to Web printing, they are given a DocID to retrieve the document at their convenience. PrintMe can handle most document formats including Microsoft® Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, HTML, JPEG, and PDF. With built-in, end-to-end 128-bit SSL encryption, documents are secure from the time they are uploaded . until they are printed. The rollout will begin next month in participating Holiday Inn properties in the greater Chicago area. With more and more mobile professionals using wireless devices to work away from the office, PrintMe makes it easy for them to easily view and print documents remotely, said Ofer Tenenbaum, EFI General Manager for PrintMe. We are pleased to work with Stay Online to provide PrintMes mobile printing service to hotels seeking a high performance printing solution for their mobile and wireless business clientele. Its clear that 802.11b wireless technology is here to stay, said Dimilia. StayOnline has led the way with providing a 100% wireless, 802.11b-based solution to our customers and we are continuing to enhance the product we offer to both hotels and mobile business travelers-- by entering into agreements with proven partners like EFI. About StayOnline, Inc.
