Choice Hotels International Opens 35 New Hotels in May

Silver Spring, Md. (June 15, 2011) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) continues to grow with the announcement of 35 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of May. The openings include hotels in 22 states and four additional countries, adding more than 2,700 rooms to the company’s existing 490,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in May include:

The Lane Hotel, an Ascend Collection hotel, Keene, N.H.
The Lane is housed in a stately, 1891 brick building that has been a Keene landmark for more than a century. Last month, The Lane recently completed a major, million-dollar-plus renovation. Today, The Lane combines contemporary style with striking high ceilings and exposed brick walls. All guestrooms and suites are outfitted with complimentary wired and wireless Internet access, large flat-screen televisions, iPod docks, Keurig coffee makers and plush beds with pillow-top mattresses and luxurious linens. Some rooms also have whirlpool baths, microwaves, refrigerators and pullout sofas for comfortable extended stays. The redesigned lobby features a welcoming new fireplace and new bar with floor-to-ceiling windows and free Wi-Fi.

Sleep Inn & Suites, Norton, Kan.
The Sleep Inn & Suites of Norton, Kan.features a brand new prototype and design. The new design provides guests with a stylish and reliable stay experience. The exterior façade displays a natural-cobble stone finish that sets a calm and relaxed tone. The newly designed rooms feature a media board, complete with a flat screen TV and elegant leaning mirrors. The elegant baths have an oversized stand up shower with accented walls.

The hotel is situated between the Rhone Alps and Lac De Bourget—France’s largest natural lake.  This pet-friendly hotel has an abundance of services available to guests including a seasonal outdoor pool equipped with a poolside bar and hot tub, and an on-site restaurant. Guestrooms offer free high-speed Internet, flat screen/Plasma TVs, refrigerators and coffee makers.
