Choice Hotels International Opens 27 New Hotels in March
in 13 States and 2 Additional Countries


Silver Spring, Md. (April 13, 2011) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) continues to grow with the announcement of 27 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of March. The openings include hotels in 13 states and two additional countries, adding more than 1,800 rooms to the company’s existing 495,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in March include:

The Hotel Highlands at Five Points South, an Ascend Collection hotel – Birmingham, Ala.
The Hotel Highland at Five Points South, an Ascend Collection hotel is situated in the historic Southside within walking distance of Birmingham’s premier restaurants and entertainment district. This boutique hotel houses 63 stylish rooms and suites. Catering to business and leisure travelers, the property offers personalized service, high design, Internet access, business amenities, a complimentary breakfast, and The H-Bar—an upscale martini bar.

Suburban Extended Stay Hotel – Longview, Texas
This extended stay hotel offers spacious and inviting accommodations for one night, one week, one month or even longer. Conveniently located near the Longview Regional Medical Center and the Good Shepherd Medical Center, the hotel features laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi, a seasonal outdoor pool, exercise room, business center, convenience store and picnic areas. Guestrooms offer fully-equipped kitchens with full-sized refrigerators, stove-tops, microwaves, coffee makers, dishes and utensils, and flat-screen TVs

Quality Hotel Fallsview Cascade – Niagara Falls, Canada
Located in the heart of the city, providing easy access to the beautiful Horseshoe Falls, this hotel offers free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, heated pool and hot tub, business center, laundry facilities, and adjacent conference center. Spacious guestrooms offer flat-screen Plasma TVs, coffee makers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards while select suites also offer sofa beds and whirlpool bathtubs.
