SHELTON,
Conn./ SYRACUSE, N.Y.,
December 19, 2012 — Officials of New Castle Hotels and Resorts,
a leading hotel
owner, operator and developer, today named Missy Rogalia director of
sales and
marketing for the Inns at Armory Square, a 78-room
Residence Inn
and 102-room Courtyard by Marriott combination hotel in the Armory
Square
district of downtown Syracuse. The hotels are being developed by
a joint
venture between RHS Holdings, LLC, a prominent Syracuse-based real
estate
development firm, and New Castle. The Inns at Armory Square are
on track
to open in the spring of next year.
“Missy started her hotel career in the Syracuse market and for the past seven years has held several prominent positions in this area, including, most recently working in Marriott International’s Global Sales division,” said Gerry Chase, president and COO of New Castle Hotels and Resorts. “That combined experience made her the perfect candidate to lead the sales effort for two new-build Marriott products. I am confident that Missy’s market experience coupled with her product knowledge will quickly establish the Inns at Armory Square as a market leader.” “Having worked in this market for the past seven years, I am very involved in the community and extremely familiar with the other products in the area,” said Rogalia. “The Inns at Armory Square are exactly what downtown Syracuse needs and I am certain that we will immediately be embraced by visitors to our city.” Prior to joining New Castle, Rogalia was the mid-market account executive for Marriott International’s Global Sales Team. Prior to her assignment at Marriott, she was the general manager for the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Ithaca NY, and served as director of sales and marketing for the same hotel as well as the Maplewood Inn in Syracuse.
