SHELTON, Conn. - - November 12,
2012 - -Officials of New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading
hotel owner,
operator and developer, announced the promotion of John Fields to area
manager
of the Connecticut region comprising the Hilton Garden Inn, Norwalk,
Conn., the
Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn, Shelton, Conn., where he also will
have
general manager responsibilities. Simultaneously, Terry Rawstern
was
named general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn, Norwalk, Conn..
A veteran hotelier, Fields joined New Castle in 2011 from Linchris Hotel Corporation, bringing with him some 20 years of industry experience in New York and New England. Earlier in his career, Fields earned certification as a Hampton and Hilton Garden Inn general manager and served with Island Hospitality, IHG and Cendant, among others. Rawstern’s hospitality career has taken him across the U.S. as general manager of several Courtyard by Marriott hotels in Connecticut, as well as destination properties in Vail, Colo., Orlando, Fla. and the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
