IRVING, Texas - June 17, 2003 - -Lexington Services (http://www.lexres.com), the proven innovator in electronic distribution and channel management, announced today the development of LexBookSM -- its new hotel Web site booking engine that enables hotels, resorts, and management companies to manage and control inventory and increase revenues through their own Web site. Through LexBook, Lexington hotels can increase bookings by allocating room inventory, rates and booking restrictions to their property's Web site with total integration into Lexington's central reservation system. This solution enables hotels to manage their Web site as a channel, in concert with the property's other sources of business. The result is a complete integrated solution that maximizes a hotel's ability to capture additional online market share.

LexBook offers advanced design and functions not available on most hotel Web site booking engines. Visitors to a hotel's Web site using LexBook can make a new reservation, modify a reservation, or cancel an existing reservation, all in one, easy-to-use and visually pleasing user-interface environment. Lexington has reduced the amount of "click-to-book" steps prevalent in most other booking engines, and has simplified the booking process for guests, while offering more power and options than ever before.

The increasing desire by hoteliers to funnel more Internet reservations through their own Web site was instrumental in the development of LexBook, which accommodates bookings by leisure or corporate travelers, frequent guests, travel agents, corporate negotiated accounts, groups, or other travelers booking on special promotional codes or offers.

LexBook offers a dynamic language feature that allows guests to select from their choice of 12 languages, and a real-time currency converter that allows for quick translation of various currencies during the buying process.

LexBook's back-office function allows the hotelier to control nearly all facets of the booking engine, including customizable graphic layout, property and room images, user fields and functions, and e-marketing capabilities, all via the Web with secure access. LexBook offers standard templates and options for hotel customization, and can be fully customized to reflect the look-and-feel of the hotel, resort or chain's own Web site, for a seamless guest booking experience.

"We are committed at Lexington to offering advanced solutions that meet the distribution needs of hoteliers now, and to stay ahead of the curve to meet future needs as the online booking landscape shifts," said Shawn Heaton, president of Lexington Services. "During our consumer research process, hoteliers told us they were less than enamored by the 'boilerplate' Web site booking engines provided by other companies, and encouraged us to develop a solution that gave them the control, flexibility and functionality for them to generate revenue via their Web site in a consumer friendly application. We are excited to have met and exceeded hotelier's expectations with the introduction of LexBook and look forward to widespread acceptance of this revenue generating solution."

He added, "Developing technology that assists hotels in realizing their full revenue potential is what drives our company. We are pleased that the introduction of LexBook to the marketplace has been met with great customer accolades, and look forward to unveiling several other new products to the marketplace very soon."

LexBook will be on display at the HITEC show in New Orleans from June 24-26, 2003. Please visit the Lexington Services Booth (# 1302) for more details.
