DALLAS (July 31, 2001) Lexington Services, a subsidiary of Travel Services International, Inc., has completed its second simulated migration from its current proprietary hotel reservation system to the new SPIRIT hotel reservation system, powered by CSC Services (NYSE:  CSC).

Lexington Services is the largest provider of hotel reservations in North America and second largest in the world, with development representative offices in Germany, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Australia and Asia. Lexington Services is a major component of Travel Services Internationals Lodging segment.

The simulated migrations entail electronically loading a copy of all Lexingtons hotel members property data into the SPIRIT system. Lexingtons technical team confirmed the data was successfully transferred, and the integrity of the copied data was maintained. With the successful completion of the simulated migration process, Lexington Services now is ready to begin the actual migration of its 4,000 member hotels to the new SPIRITTM hotel reservation system in August 2001. The system migration will be one of the largest ever of its kind in the hospitality industry.

The new SPIRIT system will offer truly integrated functions to hotels, such as seamless connectivity to major distribution channels;  automatic rate changes in the SPIRIT, GDS and Internet Distribution Systems; major reporting enhancements with more access to production and marketing data; and marketing management features, like Vapor Message management, that allow hotels to immediately implement and control marketing messages.
