|ATLANTA, Georgia, May 24, 2004 - Thompson Calhoun Fair, LLC, an Atlanta-based
hotel real estate firm, announced today it advised Arlington Hospitality
in the disposition of the AmeriHost Inn in Le Mars, Iowa and the AmeriHost
Inn in LaGrange, Georgia.
In Le Mars the 63-room, limited-service property is located at 1314
12th Street. The hotel is comprised of a two-story building and features
a spacious indoor pool area including a whirlpool, a small meeting room
accommodating up to 25 people, continental breakfast area located in the
lobby area, fitness center and individual deluxe whirlpool suites. The
property was sold to T&L Properties for an undisclosed amount.
Al Calhoun, a principal of the firm stated, “LaGrange is a distant suburb to Atlanta and from all indicators could benefit from the rapid growth of the metro area’s demand generators. The buyer is located in LaGrange and will operate two facilities in the market. We expect he will benefit from operational savings and from rate management between the two facilities.
