ST. LOUIS, July 24, 2001 - Adam's Mark Hotels & Resorts is making
progress on expansion and renovation projects designed to make three of
its hotel properties even more attractive destinations for convention groups
and individual travelers.
Daytona Beach, Fla.
-
The upscale hotel chain is on schedule with a $45 million expansion of
the Adam's Mark Daytona Beach Resort. The project features a new
North Tower addition that will add 306 luxurious guest rooms, bringing
the total room inventory to 746. The addition will be connected to
the existing hotel by a ground level covered walkway and feature sunset
and oceanfront views overlooking the historic bandshell - the outdoor amphitheater
that is home to many special events and music festivals.
-
The expansion also adds over 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space
to accommodate group functions, corporate meetings and social events.
The expanded meeting space includes an 18,000 square foot ballroom, for
a total of 60,000 square feet of available meeting space.
-
A new health club, pool and full-service sports bar with a racing theme
are also part of the expansion plan, which is scheduled for completion
in February 2002.
-
Adam's Mark Daytona Beach Resort is part of a $250 million re-development
district in Daytona Beach called Ocean Walk Village. The entities
include the Adam's Mark Daytona Beach Resort, Ocean Walk Resort, Adventure
Landing Waterpark & Entertainment Complex, Ocean Walk Shops and Ocean
Center Convention & Civic Complex. The district is located on
Daytona's only traffic-free beach.
Mobile, Al.

The Mobile property is currently in the final phase of a multi-million
dollar renovation. Each of the 375 guestrooms will receive new carpet,
wall vinyl, artwork and window treatments to complement the case goods
and bedspreads installed last year.

Every room has been outfitted with a 25'' television that offers cable
and in-room movies, plus wireless keyboards with high-speed Internet access
and video games.
