Adam's Mark Leading the Resurgence
of Building Hotel Megaplexes
Spends $500 Million In 1998

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 21, 1998 -  Adam's Mark Hotels Resorts, an upscale, quality-tier hotel chain, has committed to more than $500 million in capital improvements through 1998. One of the largest independently owned and operated hotel organizations, Adam's Mark is leading the resurgence of building hotel megaplexes.

Projects range from interior enhancements and upgrades to major conversions of existing and newly acquired properties, including construction of an 1,844-room property in Dallas and quadrupling the amount of meeting space at the new Adam's Mark Buffalo to more than 72,000 square feet.

"Adam's Mark Hotels Resorts is committed to reinvesting and expanding its property portfolio, which includes some of the finest and largest hotels being built today," said Fred S. Kummer, president and CEO of Adam's Mark Hotels Resorts.

Capitalizing on the lack of downtown meeting space in most major metropolitan areas, the company has flourished, nearly tripling the number of rooms to more than 11,000 over the last five years. Representing nearly 1 million square feet of flexible meeting space, Adam's Mark Hotels Resorts is designed to accommodate the discerning business traveler and meeting groups of all sizes.
