PARIS, Dec. 16, 1999 - Following a two-year restoration
and renovation of the historic George V, totaling U.S. $125 million, Four
Seasons Hotel Paris will open its doors December 18, 1999.
Now with a 21st century infrastructure and spacious suites and guest rooms reconfigured to total 245 (down from 320 in the original building) this luxurious property is the first in France for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the Canadian company known to travelers worldwide for elegant accommodations and anticipatory service. General Manager Didier Le Calvez is at the helm, and four fine-dining venues are overseen by Executive Chef Philippe Legendre. A full-service spa and large pool will keep guests in trim, and the
grandest meeting facilities of any five-star hotel in Paris will make this
the city�s preferred venue for meetings and high-style banquets. Just as
in 1928, when the original George V first opened, all of Paris is alive
with anticipation to explore the new Four Seasons Hotel, located just off
