TORONTO, Nov. 16, 1999 - Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts just added
some sparkle to its roster of Five Diamond award winners for 2000. The
company once again reaped top honors in the annual American Automobile
Association competition, including a trio of first time award-winning hotels.
The new winners in the prestigious Five Diamond category for the luxury
chain include Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, Four Seasons Resort Aviara and
Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, in addition to the fifteen Four Seasons honorees
from 1999 that maintained Five Diamond status.
Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta portrays
the excellence of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as a hotel operator,
with the award for 2000 marking the first win for the property since its
debut under Four Seasons management in 1997. Four Seasons Resort
Aviara gained the distinguished honor of being the first hotel ever to
win the AAA Five Diamond award in San Diego and is the only resort that
includes a fully integrated vacation ownership component. With 424 rooms,
Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, a non-gaming hotel, is the first property
ever to win in Las Vegas, the world�s number one travel destination.

the 19th consecutive year in which Four Seasons has received more Five
Diamonds awards than any other hotel company.
September 1999 marked the opening of Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita,
Mexico, with a vacation ownership development opening in 2001. In March
1999, Four Seasons also opened a hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other expected
openings in late 1999 and early 2000 include a resort and vacation ownership
property in Scottsdale, Arizona; hotels in London, England (Four Seasons

While most hotels bear the respective names of Four Seasons or Regent,
some do not, including The Ritz-Carlton in Chicago and The Pierre in New
