News for the Hospitality Executive
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, APRIL 23, 2012 - Making technology a more humanized tool for guest satisfaction will be the focus of the 17th Pan American Congress of Les Clefs d’Or Concierges in Las Vegas, April 26-29, 2012. Jeff Arnold, Chairman of Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil Travel Guide, the gold standard in luxury hospitality ratings for over 50 years, will introduce innovative concepts to the over 500 top concierges in attendance, representing the gold service standard in leading hotels in the USA, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Canada. Mr. Arnold, also the visionary behind Startle.com, the online home of Forbes Travel Guide, Howstuffworks.com, Sharecare.com and founder of WebMD, will offer his views on how to digitally activate the Les Clefs d’Or concierges to assist them in curating a collective voice in the online conversation that impacts today’s consumer in an informative and relevant way.
“Our goal with Les Clefs d’Or is to always take guest service to the next level of excellence. We look forward to learning more from Mr. Arnold about how we can enhance our personal and guest interactions using technology and social media tools,” said Jeanne Mills, President of Les Clefs d’Or USA, Chef Concierge of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the world’s largest concierge team and Congress Chair. Ms. Mills also noted that she and her Congress team are delighted to host this year’s Pan American Congress in Las Vegas. “Las Vegas is considered the entertainment capital of the world and as guest experience specialists, we are so proud to showcase the best Las Vegas has to offer to our international delegates,” said Ms. Mills.
The Congress will also feature Jeff Wielgopolan, Director of Executive Training, Forbes Travel Guide, to lead the audience of global concierges to better behavioral awareness of how Five-Star standards and expectations are achieved. Events will be held at various hotel properties and venues including MGM Grand, Aria Resort, Fremont Street, Caesars Palace, The Palazzo Resort, The Wynn and Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas amongst many other Las Vegas experiences. Delegates will be housed at The Signature at MGM Grand. Additionally, the Congress will welcome approximately 50 dignitaries from the travel industry, including International Presidents of Les Clefs d’Or from Europe and other continents, Las Vegas hotel leaders and tourism officials.
Considered the service elite in leading hotels and resorts in 43 countries, Les Clefs d’Or hotel lobby concierges are often considered “the brand within the brand” and are known for rolodexes worth millions. A Les Clefs d’Or Concierge is in the enviable position of being able to recommend destinations, businesses, companies, and/or products to thousands of business and leisure travelers throughout the world.
