ATLANTA (January 23, 2012) –Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (www.hotelequities.com) recently promoted Angela Raub the Vice President of Business Development.  She reports directly to Hotel Equities President & CEO Fred Cerrone and sits as a member of the Hotel Equities Strategic Alliance Leadership Team (SALT), the executive committee responsible for casting the company vision and orchestrating its growth. 
 
Ms. Raub joined Hotel Equities as Director of Business Development in December 2010 and served as a member of the development team that added a total of 19 hotels to the firm’s portfolio during 2011.   She led the effort to secure third party management contracts and follow up with those investors and owners who hired Hotel Equities.  She also identified possible acquisitions and new development opportunities.  Ms. Raub helped execute several joint venture partnerships that resulted in the addition of more than 10 hotels. She will continue with those responsibilities.

In mid-December, Ms. Raub orchestrated the inaugural meeting for the Hotel Equities’ investment offering.  More than 35 prospective investors attended the event.  Earlier last year, she engaged Tower Ventures LLC of Memphis, Tennessee and executed an agreement for the marketing of Hotel Equities’ portfolio of properties to wireless carriers in order to earn additional revenue.
 
Ms. Raub’s business development experience spans more than 20 years.  She joined the HE team in January 2011 after serving as Director of Business Development for Brightworth, an Atlanta-based private wealth management firm.  Previously she held the position of Director of Corporate Relations at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. 
 
Ms. Raub earned a BA in Communications from the University of Toledo and an Executive MBA from Georgia State University.   A resident of Sandy Springs, north of Atlanta, Ms. Raub is the mother of a daughter who is a college student.  Active at Buckhead Church in Atlanta, she enjoys running and reading.
