St. Thomas Opens $1.5 million Spa
ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I. (Apr. 16, 2002) The "All-inclusive" Wyndham Sugar Bay Beach Club & Resort in St. Thomas will open one of its most stylish recent additions, the $1.5 million Journeys Spa, this June 2002. As the newest and largest full-service spa in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the two-level facility will be the first spa in the U.S.V.I. to offer hydrotherapy treatments. Promising guests tranquility, reflection and peace, Journeys Spa will also offer a full complement of massage and body services, complete fitness center and full-service styling salon. To commemorate this addition, the resort will officially change its name to the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa.

Set amidst breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and lush tropical surroundings, the inherent beauty embracing Journeys Spa naturally allows guests to relax and unwind seemingly effortlessly. Soothing tropical breezes and panoramic vistas ideally complement the spa's array of signature services and treatments, which include aromatherapy, massage, body wraps, hydrotherapy and facials, along with a full complement of salon services for both men and women. Additional amenities include steam, sauna, Jacuzzi, spa boutique and spa cuisine.
             
The 10,000 square-foot facility's first level houses 6 treatment rooms,comprised of interior and exterior areas ideal for sunrise, sunset and evening appointments; a private couples massage suite surrounded by his and hers Jacuzzis; hydrotherapy rooms; a beauty salon; and locker rooms. A private outdoor massage cabana, and private outdoor sanctuaries enable guests to feel at one with nature, and the spa's special rainforest showers complete the experience. The second level features a 2,500 square-foot fitness center with cardiovascular and weight training rooms, as well as a separate area for aerobics, yoga and Pilates classes.
