SIOUX FALLS, S.D., July 19, 2000 -
LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: LNET), the leading provider
of broadband, interactive television services to the hospitality industry,
announced today it has installed 4,000 hotels with its interactive systems
and services.
LodgeNet installed its 4,000th system at The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia,
which opened this spring and is a centerpiece of Philadelphias Avenue
of the Arts renovation project. Guests at the hotel enjoy LodgeNets full
suite of interactive television services including on-demand movies, Nintendo®
64 video games, Guest Satisfaction Survey and Video Checkout, as well as

Were extremely pleased to reach this milestone as we continue to deploy

said Scott C. Petersen, president and CEO for

Company, L.L.C. its fitting that one of their properties should be the
site of this achievement. LodgeNet has served hotels of The Ritz-Carlton
Hotel Company since 1994, and the companies signed an extended and expanded
interactive services agreement last November.
LodgeNet began providing interactive television services to hotels in
1992 with its Guest Scheduled(SM) on-demand movie service. The company
has grown its interactive room base by a compounded annual growth rate
of 31.6 percent from 1992 to 1999, and currently provides interactive television
services to more than 690,000 guest rooms. This January LodgeNet was the
first to announce that all of its installed interactive rooms were on-demand,
offering entertainment on the guests schedule as opposed to pre-scheduled
