Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Appoints Joe Durocher as 
SVP and Chief Information Officer, Formerly Hilton's CIO
HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII - July 24, 2000 - After a four-year absence from the islands, Joe Durocher has returned to Hawaii and to Outrigger Enterprises, Inc., as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In his new position with Outrigger, Durocher is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of all information technology needs for Outrigger Enterprises and its affiliated companies, including Outrigger Hotels & Resorts and OHANA Hotels of Hawaii.

Durocher was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Hilton Hotels Corp., where he was responsible for data processing and related strategies for all of Hilton�s non-gaming hotels, amounting to well over 300 properties with over 110,000 rooms worldwide.  

During Durocher�s tenure at Hilton, he was instrumental in the replacement of Hilton�s Hiltron central reservation system with Hilstar, a new state of the art central reservations system. This system is the core reservation system used by both Hilton Corporation and Hilton International accounting for over 460 properties across the globe. In addition, he was heavily involved in the installation of the ERP, Peoplesoft financial, payroll and human resource systems, the New Market Sales and catering system and Hilton�s HPMS II system in over 200 properties.

Prior to joining Hilton International in 1996, Durocher held the position of vice president of information systems for Outrigger Hotels & Resorts. During his ten years with Outrigger, Durocher was instrumental in the installation and maintenance of the company�s Stellex reservations and front desk computer system.

Before his first career with Outrigger, Durocher was vice president of systems development for Computab, where he managed all programmers and branch offices.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Durocher received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Masters degrees in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii. He is a Certified Systems Professional (CSP) and Certified Data Processing Professional (CDP). Durocher is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
