of The Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver and vice president Pan Pacific Hotels
& Resorts, North America, is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mary Rideout as director of marketing. Rideout, a well-known and
respected Vancouver hotel industry professional, has returned from over
two years in Portugal as director of sales & marketing in the five
star Ritz Hotel in Lisbon. Although a native of Portugal, Rideout
is pleased to return to Vancouver where she has had almost twenty years
experience in the industry.
Starting as a sales manager in the 1983 pre-opening of The Georgian Court Hotel, Rideout also worked at Sutton Place, then Le Meridien, as director of sales before joining Four Seasons to become director of sales there for over ten years. She has also been an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 1987. Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts currently encompasses 19 hotels (17 managed properties and 2 marketing affiliates) in 12 countries in Asia, the Pacific and North America. |
