AH&MA, Leisureplanet.com and Sabre Executives 
Join WorldRes.com
SAN MATEO, Calif. - May 10, 2000 - WorldRes.com, an online hotel reservation network for leisure travel, today announced the appointment of three new executives, Craig McIntosh, Asif Mehmood and Michael Gehrisch, and the promotion of Yen Lee.
 
Craig McIntosh has been appointed General Manager of the new WorldRes.com Oceania office and will oversee the company�s expansion in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and the Pacific Rim.  McIntosh, formerly CEO of Leisureplanet.com, has very solid strategic, financial and operational expertise, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the hotel, tourism and Internet industries. 

WorldRes.com Europe has named Asif Mehmood as the director of sales for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Holland. Based in Germany, Mehmood will manage all sales efforts with hotel customers throughout these regions. Mehmood joins WorldRes.com from the Sabre Group, where he spent 12 years in the Associate (Vendor) Distribution department, most recently as the manager, associate sales and marketing in Europe, overseeing Sabre�s relationships with Marriott, Hilton International, The Accor Group and Meridien Hotels.

Michael Gehrisch joins WorldRes.com as the vice president of hotel sales. Gehrisch oversees all domestic sales activities, including integration of new account acquisitions and aligning hotel companies with WorlRes.com�s worldwide distribution partners.  In addition, he will serves as WorldRes.com�s key contact to hotel management companies, corporations, and affiliated hospitality associations.  Prior to joining WorldRes.com, Gehrisch served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the American Hotel & Motel Association (AH&MA) where he was the key contact to hotel companies and member state associations directly responsible for the association�s corporate affairs.

Yen Lee has been promoted to executive vice president of business development and partner marketing, responsible for the company�s partner distribution network.  Prior to WorldRes.com, Lee was the director of operations at CitySearch in San Francisco, California where he led a 20-person team and was responsible for a broad range of sales and product management functions.
