WorldRes.com Providing Independent
Hotel Properties to the Sabre® Network

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Nov. 2, 1999 - WorldRes.com, an online hotel distribution network for leisure travel, announced a new agreement with Sabre (NYSE:TSG), the global leader in information technology for the travel and transportation industries, bringing WorldRes.coms entire inventory of independent hotel properties to the Sabre® network.

Teaming with WorldRes.com enables Sabre to grow its property base by adding a vast selection of unrepresented independent leisure properties, many of which are directly bookable only through WorldRes.com. The properties will enjoy increased distribution, offering detailed content and confirmed reservation booking capability to over 190,000 Sabre connected travel agents, as well as through Sabre Business Travel Solutions®, the Travelocity.com online travel portal and its distribution partners, including AOL (NYSE:AOL), CompuServe, Netscape and Yahoo! (Nasdaq:YHOO).

Sabre has a very clear understanding of what the Internet means for the distribution of hotel reservations, said Greg Jones, president and CEO of WorldRes.com. Sabre recognizes the importance of Web based solutions to bring the fragmented independent hotel market into the Sabre system.

The WorldRes.com system offers hotel properties an efficient and cost-effective way to market and sell hotel rooms over the Internet.  The system is free to join for hotels, removing one of the primary barriers that smaller properties face. Hotels receive Web marketing and e-commerce capability through WorldRes.coms unique and growing network of Web distribution partners, including broad travel portals like Travelocity.com, destination- and activity-based sites, call centers and Sabre connected travel agents.

WorldRes.coms flexible, Web-based technology and its direct interface into the Sabre system allows independent hotels, historic inns, resorts and BBs to participate in Sabre at a significantly lower cost. The WorldRes.com/Sabre program is available only to properties that currently do not participate in Sabre.

WorldRes.com has quickly established itself as the market leader in its segment, and has built a powerful solution for offering real-time booking capabilities to independent hotels and inns, said Simon Todd, Vice President, Car, Hotel and Leisure for Sabre. This clearly enhances the accommodation options Sabre is now able to offer all our customers.
