 Duane Sherman GM at the Non-gaming Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas
LOS ANGELES/LAS VEGAS - May 16, 2000 - Los Angeles-based Windsor Hospitality Group, a division of Windsor Capital Group, announces the June opening of the new 286-suite Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas.

Owned and operated by Windsor Hospitality Group, the $36-million luxury hotel is located in the heart of Las Vegas and provides a unique non-gaming environment for guests. The Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas represents Windsor�s second hotel in the area. The company also operates the Hawthorn Suites Las Vegas, an extended-stay property located in the heart of the famous �Strip.�

Built by Martin Harris Construction, the Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas features a 6,000-square-foot atrium. Also included at the property is excellent food and beverage facilities, such as The Fountain Grille Restaurant, which offers casual continental dining, and The Terrace Bar, where guests can enjoy beverages in a relaxed environment.

Located at 3600 Paradise Road, the hotel is a short three-block walk to the Las Vegas Convention Center, Sands Expo and the Las Vegas Strip. �The Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas is the largest and most luxurious non-gaming all-suite hotel near the Las Vegas Convention Center and provides the amenities and services our guests have come to expect,� said Duane Sherman, general manager of Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas. �We want to accommodate business travelers and families that are looking for a more relaxing atmosphere without compromising quality.�

The Embassy Suites Convention Center-Las Vegas offers more than 6,500 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities that can accommodate both large and small groups for social or business purposes. The 2,310-square-foot Ambassador Ballroom can seat up to 250 people in theater style or 195 guests for a banquet style event. This large Ballroom can also be divided into three sections to accommodate smaller groups, or guests may choose to use the smaller Diplomat Room. The Executive Board Room is designed to accommodate conference meetings of up to 12 people. Another option for small groups are Conference Suites, located on each of the 10 guest suite floors, which can be used in conjunction with the full guest suite or as stand-alone meeting space. As an added convenience for guests, all meeting rooms are equipped with direct, CAIS high-speed Internet access.
