LOS ANGELES Los Angeles-based Windsor Capital Group, parent company
of Windsor Hospitality Group, today announced hospitality veteran Mike
Cryan has joined the company as president and chief operating officer.
In this newly created position, Cryan is responsible for strategically
directing Windsor as the company expands its portfolio of 24 upscale, full-service
hotels and extended stay properties.
According to Patrick Nesbitt, Windsors chairman and chief executive officer, Cryans comprehensive background in hotel acquisitions, development, finance, operations, and sales and marketing greatly complements the strengths of Windsors executive management team. Mikes well-rounded hospitality background and can-do attitude makes him a perfect fit for shaping and spearheading the future of Windsor Capital Group, Nesbitt said. Cryan cited Windsors exceptional performance track record, entrepreneurial approach to business and family-oriented culture as his primary reasons for joining the company. Ive watched Windsors amazing performance progress over the last decade. Its stimulating to be a part of a company so energized and eager to seek new strategic opportunities to maximize and grow its solid hotel portfolio, Cryan said. Cryan and his family are relocating from Atlanta to Los Angeles, Windsors corporate headquarters. Cryan brings 23 years of managerial experience in the service industry to Windsor. Prior to joining the company, he was co-chairman and chief operating officer of Homestead Village Incorporated, a chain of moderately priced, extended stay hotels, where he grew revenue by more than 700 percent over a three-year period. Cryan also spent 10 years with ITT Sheraton Corporation in several executive and senior management positions. As executive vice president, chief financial officer and corporate board member with Sheraton, Cryan was heavily involved in evaluating acquisitions of numerous hotels, resorts, casinos and joint ventures and completed property purchases totaling a value in excess of $2 billion.
