 Alexander Haeusler and Craig Fong Appointed to Executive Positions at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Bangkok 

June 2 2000 - Rudi Scherb, General Manager of Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok,  takes pleasure to announce the appointment of  Alexander Haeusler to the executive position of  Hotel Manager., at this prestigeous Riverside, City Resort .

�Alexander Haeusler, A native of Austria, graduated from �Modul� in Vienna, one of the world�s leading hotel management colleges. He joined in April of this year, in the position of Dir.,Customer Relationship Mktg. and was promoted to  Manager of the 773 room Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers as of June 1, 2000 . 

Alexander comes to us from our sister hotel, the Westin Chiang Mai, where he was Operations  Manager, doing  an  excellent  job for  Starwood Hotels and Resorts International. 

Haeusler also held previously other important 

management positions with exposure to Sales, Rooms and Quality Control. during his career with Ritz Carlton , Hong Kong ; the Yangtze New World Hotel, Shanghai and Resident Manager at the Amari Airport Hotel in Bangkok . 

We believe both Alex and Sheraton will benefit and excell from his promotion;  The challenges and diversity of  this larger M.I.C.E. and Resort Property in Bangkok will add to his Professional formation. Also, Mr. Scherb announced  the appointment of Craig Fong as the Director of Sales & Marketing . 

Craig Fong, a US.Citizen and graduate from the University of Hawaii, with a BA, Business Marketing, has extensive expertise in Marketing, Sales - Development and Management in the hospitality industry. His recent experience, as V.P. Business Dev. Asia Pacific, included responsibility for developing and implementing effective business plans, with Hospitality Marketing Concepts, a USA based company with offices in 42 countries, providing consultancy  services worldwide.

Craig was an Industry Sector Leader for Banking, Insurance and Hospitality with SITEL Corp.A/P, having direct responsibility to develop, educate, consult prospective clients and build relations with various government authorities. He was also instrumental in establishing FHS.Marketing PTE LTD. Joint Venture office in Singapore, where he was a co-founder and directed a frofitable group of companies .

As Dir. of Sales and Mktg. of the Ala Moana Hotel, he was involved in the development and execution of  Sales & Mktg. plans for the 1200 room City Resort Hotel, at that time the flagship property of Americana Hotels, a subsidiary company of American Airlines.

He was also the youngest President of the Foreign Travel Club of Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
 

The appointment of Craig Fong to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, co-incides with its latest US$11 million (400 M. Baht) rehabilitation. The property is currently going through  a complete rehabilitation of all of its guest rooms.
