Grand Hotel Bangkok
a Warwick International Hotel
|
Guest service is the key of survival
in the hospitality business in the USA and worldwide. Many brands offering
no service presently in the USA seem the answer, but only a short lived
one. The hotel business is service, if this key element is
eliminated we have nothing but sleeping hives , a business that
always will find its supporters, but they are no hotels!
The Grand Hotel is a luxury-class hotel property with 650 spacious rooms
decorated in decorative Thai style. The hotel's location provides easy
access to city attractions, entertainment and shopping. The hotel offers
superb amenities and services, including air conditioning, airline desk,
bar, business center, babysitting service, concierge, conference room,
laundry service, minibar an a wide selection of restaurants. |
Warwick International Hotels was launched in 1980 with the
purchase of The Warwick New York, a landmark hotel built by William Randolph
Hearst for his Hollywood friends.
A Foothold in Europe
Soon after the purchase of the New York property, Warwick
International moved quickly to establish a foothold in Europe with the
acquisition of Le Warwick, Paris just off the famed Champs Elysées.
Other acquisitions quickly followed: The Royal Windsor in Brussels,
a Leading Hotel of the World is steps from the Grand Place and The Westminster
Opera in Paris is ideally located on the rue de la Paix. The Warwick
Geneva, acquired in 1982, provides a perfect central location near to Lake
Geneva.
A Leisurely Expansion
From a solid base in New York and western Europe, Warwick
expanded into the leisure market. The acquisition of a modern resort
on the Coral Coast of Fiji became the Warwick Fiji. The success of
this project spurred further expansion in Fiji and the nearby Naviti Resort
was acquired. This tropical oasis along with the neighboring Warwick
Fiji, provide a unique experience for travelers.
Growth in the United States
During the 80s, additional expansion began in the United
States with the opening of The Warwick Seattle and The Warwick Denver,
both ideally located in the city centers. Entering into the 90s,
The Warwick Regis in San Francisco was added. This charming boutique
hotel is located just off Union Square.
Warwick Worldwide
The 1990s also marked a new direction for Warwick with
the introduction of an affiliate hotel program. Numerous independent
hotels throughout the world have embraced this concept. The number
of affiliate hotels and resorts has grown three fold in just four years
with hotels and resorts in France, Belgium, Italy, United Kingdom, United
States, Jamaica,New Zealand, and South Africa. |
