ISHP has launched its website:
www/ishp.org
The new websites purpose is to be the hospitality industrys purchasing
knowledge and reference resource. The site currently includes a list
of ISHP members and officers, an overview of the organization, membership
qualifications and benefits.
We are in the process of creating standards directories, which currently
are being developed by our committees, said Neil Locke, ISHP president.
Establishing a common set of standards for purchasers and suppliers will
have a profound effect on our industry. With hundreds of thousands
of items involved in the building and maintenance of a hotel, it will take
time to finalize standards, which will continually change as new categories
are defined and refined. The net effect will be a more streamlined
purchasing process that benefits all parties.
