Roomlinx Completes Crowne Plaza Install
DENVER, CO – November 3, 2008 – Roomlinx, Inc. (OTC: RMLX - News) expands to Chicago this month with the official opening of the Crowne Plaza yesterday in Glen Ellyn, Ill., an InterContinental Hotels Group property. Roomlinx provides interactive in-room Media, Entertainment & Business solutions to hotels, coupled with wired and wireless high-speed Internet access.
The property, located at 1250 Roosevelt Rd., is owned and managed by Skokie, Ill.-based F & F Realty Ltd., owner and operator of six nationally franchised hotels in Illinois, including: the Crowne Plaza Glen Ellyn-Lombard; the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro; the Crowne Plaza Chicago North Shore in Mundelein (winner of the 2005 and 2007 “Quality Excellence Award” and 2003, 2004 and 2006 “Torchbearer Award”); the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center in Rosemont; the DoubleTree Arlington Heights; and the Holiday Inn Express Palatine. The company also operates four Chicago restaurants, including Karma, ranked No. 1 in “Décor” by Zagat Chicago for four consecutive years, voted “Best New Restaurant” by Chicago Magazine in 2004, and named “Restaurant Of The Year” by Fusion in 2003.

Following an extensive interior and exterior renovation, F & F Realty reflagged the former Holiday Inn hotel as a Crowne Plaza. The property held its soft opening in August, with a formal introduction to the Glen Ellyn-Lombard community on October 28.

The 78,000 square foot Crowne Plaza features 119 guestrooms, including nine two-room suites with microwave, refrigerator, wet bar, soaking tub, dual showerhead and two LCD televisions. The hotel features more than 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, with two expansive ballrooms that can be divided up into five individual meeting rooms. The hotel also presents a wide range of modern conveniences and high-tech amenities, such as two 10' x 6' plasma video walls displays, comprehensive audio/visual equipment, LED lighting in an array of colors, teleconferencing and videoconference capabilities, and high-speed Internet access, both wired and wireless. The hotel also offers an indoor pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, business center and complimentary shuttle service. The property is in close proximity to shopping malls and the Drury Lane Theatre and Conference Center.
