Classic Ethan Allen Hotel Taps Delphi Sales
and Catering to Book More Business

Property also selects Delphi Diagrams to automate meeting space design

Portsmouth, NH,  December 12, 2006 —  Newmarket International, Inc., the leader in sales and catering solutions for the hospitality industry, announced that the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, Connecticut, will install the Delphi Select Edition® sales and catering solution for mid-scale properties and will utilize Delphi Diagrams® to create customized floor-plan graphics for meeting and event setup. 

The Ethan Allen Hotel is replacing a competitive system with the Delphi applications to achieve greater efficiencies in sales automation and catering booking. 

“The Delphi Select and Delphi Diagrams solutions will make our group meeting, event and sales process more efficient and give us more time to go out and sell,” said Fran Soechtig, Ethan Allen Hotel’s director of sales.  “Delphi is very easy to use and requires less keying and administration time than the system we are using now.  It will be a huge improvement.”  The hotel will use Delphi Select to streamline function-room booking, schedule sales appointments, track group deliverables and other tasks.  The property expects Delphi Diagrams will generate additional revenue by providing customers with detailed floor plan diagramming for proposals, BEOs and sales brochures. 

The 193-room Ethan Allen Hotel is an independent property owned by the Ethan Allen Corporation, a Connecticut-based leading manufacturer and retailer of home furnishings. The hotel is located on the campus of Ethan Allen's International Headquarters in Danbury.  With 15 event rooms and 15,000 sq. ft. of high-tech equipped meeting space, the property is the city’s premier event venue for business and leisure groups.
